Tebow Time

After taking off a season of football, it looks like Tim Tebow is going to come back for at least a season with the Philadelphia Eagles, though the question that everybody is asking will he play? Should he has come back? and is he good enough to continue to play in the NFL?  The answer to those questions, I can not answer, I am not an expert, nor am I a coach, but I do think that it is sad that when a fellow Christian, who God has giving talent to, to play football, we put him down, we try to say he is no good, that he shouldn’t play.  We get aggravated when people mocked him when he would be on the field, and bow on one knee, and pray before, and during the game.  Yet we stab him in the back when he tries for a comeback, and we say he’s no good, he won’t make it.  Proverbs 18:21 says Life and death are in the Power of the tongue.  So why are we speaking death to a fellow christians dreams, by saying he won’t make it.  Would we want one of our fellow Christians, speaking death to one of our dreams, especially if it was one that God gave to us?  He did well in Denver, he brought the Broncos to the playoffs, but was unfortunately traded to the Jets that never even played him in one game.

Is Tim Tebow the greatest player to ever play the game, no he is not, although he has gotten several college awards, including the Heisman Trophy.  So this must give him some type of football talent, or else how would he has gotten these awards.  So the question really is why hasn’t the NFL teams, besides the Broncos really giving any consideration or chance to Tim Tebow, I really don’t know.  The real question should be, why as Christians don’t we give Tim Tebow a second chance, we gave 2nd chances, to A-Rod, who took Steroids, and cheated, we gave a second Chance to Michael Vick, who went to Jail, I think you get my point, or at least I hope you do so I won’t go on.  Lets give Tim Tebow a second chance, lets stand behind him, cheer him on, and pray for him that regardless of what happens, that he gets to make an impact on and off the field.
