Making an impact

I gave a sermon last week based on James 4:14, which talks about not being on this earth for long.  Not knowing how long we will be here.  We can be here today, and gone tomorrow, if we want to make an impact on this earth we need to live for Jesus.  We need to be careful of what we say and how we act around those that don’t know Christ.  We need to show love to others, now before it is too late, because as I said tomorrow we may not be here.  We do not have much time to do what it is that God wants us to do on this earth.  We can’t give excuses of why we can’t do what it is that God wants us to do, we can’t say that we are to young or that we are to old and can’t be used by God.  The disciples  were called by God as teenagers, Moses was eighty, when he was called by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.  We can’t look back, on our old life and think that God won’t use us to make an impact because of our past.  God doesn’t look at our past, to decide who He will or will not use.  Once we have asked for Forgiveness, our past is our past, and has been wiped clean, so we are not judged by what we have done, but by what we will do.  Let God use you today, to make an impact on this world today, you don’t know what will happen from day-to-day, or from moment to moment, or even from second to second.
