With the New Rocky Movie Creed coming out tomorrow, I thought that I would republish this post, that I wrote last year at this time.

Their’s many times in this life that we live, that isn’t, like Rocky says in the video above it ain’t all rainbow’s and sunshine.  God never told us that life would be easy, and anyone that says it is, is lying.  Now I am not saying that there aren’t good times and their aren’t times that we are on the top of the mountain top.  There are, though most of the time we are in the valley, we are waiting for the next attack from the enemy, we need to know that God is their for us, when the next attack comes, He is already ahead of us, getting ready to fight the enemy for us.  When it happens, we can’t allow it to get us down and give up, we can get down on our knees and ask God to help, give us the strength to get back up, and continue the fight, to keep moving forward.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Surely you know that many runners take part in a race, but only one of them wins the prize. Run, then, in such a way as to win the prize. 25 Every athlete in training submits to strict discipline, to be crowned with a wreath that will not last; but we do it for one that will last forever. 26 That is why I run straight for the finish line; that is why I am like a boxer who does not waste his punches. 27 I harden my body with blows and bring it under complete control, to keep myself from being disqualified after having called others to the contest.

Hebrews 12:1 As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.

Lets get rid of the doubt, fears, worries, concerns, past mistakes, failures, addictions, let’s get rid of the sin, that we habitually do on a daily basis, so that we can run the race that lies before us. Because if we can’t get rid of these things that are holding us back, we won’t fully see what it is that God has for us, we won’t be able to run the race without looking back, and we can’t look back we need to look forward. Every race that I have ever run, I had to look forward, I couldn’t look back to see what was behind me, because if I did, I would’ve tripped and fallen. Lets look forward to the race that God has placed in our lives today, and run with nothing hindering us, or slowing us down.

I love the quote from Rocky because it talks about how people point fingers, and blame the other person for not being where we are. I could’ve easily done that, I could’ve easily said well I’m not where I want to be because of what happened to me in my life, because of the way I was born. Because no one was helping me (besides my parent’s) get through this life, but I learned with my parent’s help, that I had to do things on my own, and keep pushing f
