This past weekend, I was once again in Liberty Pa, for a morning service, and then in Tioga PA, for an evening service. It was a great time, since I had been at both churches before, and I know the pastor very well. In the evening service I spoke about being limitless, and how we put limitations on ourselves and on others, though when it comes to God, and what He wants to do in our lives, we are limitless. The Bible tells us that with God all things are possible, which means that He can do anything he wants to do in and through us. How many times have we been called to do something by God, and we put limitations on ourselves because we didn’t think that we would be able to do it. When we put limitations on ourselves, we are not recognizing that God can do anything. John 14:12 says 12“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14“If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. 15“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Jesus tells his disciples, that the works that we do will be greater than the works that He did while here on earth because He will send the Holy Spirit. I say this because I saw something this weekend, that I rarely see in churches, which were two young men, that had Down Syndrome, which is kinda sad, since Jesus said we should love everyone. Though that’s not my point, than I saw something really rare, and something that most of us would probably say was impossible. I saw this young man Nathan who had Down Syndrome playing a drum like instrument during the worship time. When it comes to music, I can’t hold a sign never mind hold a beat on an instrument, but this young man, was pretty good. I do not know where or how he got his lessons, or where he learned, but he was up their on the worship team. Because he realized that he was limitless even with a disability to do anything that God has called him to do. What are you limiting yourself from doing because you are afraid to do what God has called you to do. When God calls you to do something remember Nathan, remember this young man who is writing this blog that even at forty, I am doing what God has called me to do, overcoming the odds of what the doctors, said where impossible odds of survival. I leave you with this, Philippians 4:13, says I can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Do not allow yourself or others put limitations on what it is that you can do through Christ. God is limitless, but we are the ones that limit him.
