FEARLESS

At the beginning of this year, I believe it was during the fast I did with my church. I remember, the Holy Spirit giving me a word which was Fearless. I realized that this would become the word for me for this year. Throughout my life, there have been times in my life when I would become anxious. I would worry, and at times I would become fearful. Whether that was because of the surgeries that I was going through, wondering would I survive. Frustrated with people who would bully me, and call me names like monster and freak.

Even when I read Bible verses like Philippians 4:6-7 that says ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ‘ So while you are at home during this time, during this unusual time in our country. Where most of the country is pretty much came to a standstill, what are you afraid of, and should you really be afraid. Should you really be fearful, about what is happening around you?

To be honest, I’m concerned, not really for myself, but really for the older people that I know my family, my friends who have the immunocompromised system. Those are the people that I am concerned about though, I’m believing that God will bring us through, that regardless of what happens in this time, Jesus will still have the victory over the devil. I would say it’s okay to be concerned, but I also believe we shouldn’t cross that line of worry or fear, and I have done that during this time.

When I did I reminded myself somehow whether that was reading the Bible, watching my pastor on Facebook, preaching, watching Steven Furtick, that regardless of what is going on God is still God, and God is still on the throne. Where humans, and sometimes that humanity overtakes us, and we forget who we are, and whose we are. We need to remind ourselves that God is our Father and that we are His Children.

I want to encourage you guys, not to be fearful during this time, we are living in uncertain times, things are changing hour by hour, day by day, we do not know what exactly is going to happen even later today, never mind tomorrow. Though this isn’t just for the time we are living in now, this is for every day of your life, God willing in a few months, when God brings us through this, we will need it a month later, we will need this word of not to be fearful, next year. We should use it for every day of our lives.

Here are a few more Bible verses that will hopefully encourage you, through this time.

1.  “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10

2.  “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”  ~ Psalm 56:3

3.  “Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” ~ John 14:27

4.  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” ~ 2 Timothy 1:7

5.  “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” ~ 1 John 4:18

Here’s one more encouragement for you, as I finish up this blog, If you are fearful, talk to God, if you are afraid talk to God, He is there to talk with you, and to listen to you, even if you are frustrated and angry, He will listen to you. Stay away as often as you can from the news, do what your Government officials tell you to do, and we will get through this God Bless. If you need any prayer requests, please contact me.
